DESCRIPTION:2 day Event Frequency – 123.2 \nAWOS-122.125 Ph # 780-623-4050 or 780-213-4647 \nCheck notams and weather prior to take off \nRunway heading should be close to the same as last year 13/31. 4200′ x 120′ runway. \nFly in at your own risk \nWe will have a fire with complimentary hotdogs and hot beverages. A small donation would be greatly appreciated. There will be marshalls to guide you on the apron to park your plane.  Runway and taxiways will be marked with spruce trees and orange garbage bags. Portable washrooms on site as well as an enclosed trailer for anyone wanting to warm up inside.  We had 84 planes come in 2015!! Great turnout and great responses came in.  Hope you can make it here as this is an event not to be missed.  All reliant on the ice conditions and weather so keep checking our website for updates!  There is also the FESTIVAL OF SPEED where competitors take to the ice with their cars and motorcycles! SUMMARY:TC Recency Seminar
DESCRIPTION:The General Aviation Safety Campaign is currently a 3 year program targeted to improve general aviation safety. This will be done through identifying issues from the stakeholders and data collected\, working together to reduce the number of incidents\, and bringing more awareness to those involved in this sector of aviation. These presentations are being delivered across the country and will be updated and/or added to with information pertaining to the feedback TC receives from those who attend and other information sources. The presentation is mostly targeting private fixed wing pilots but anyone with aviation experience is welcome to attend. The delivery of the presentation is expected to take approximately 2 hours with a short Q&A session after. The presentation delivers some current statics information that identifies the current accident categories applicable to general aviation and causes if known. It also discusses some ideas on the weaknesses leading to the accidents and does a review of some basic training information for the most relevant accident categories. There may be some safety information handouts for pilots to take with them if they choose and a list of relevant sites where more information can be obtained.
